The “Quote”, founded by Jarmel Bell, is a Non-Profit organization (recognized by the IRS as a 501c(3)) that teaches students how to be “smart” through character education and academic achievement. The organizations primary focus is to help with student development during the mid-level grades (4th -8th). Many students during these grade levels tend to have a higher propensity for misbehaving. Research has shown that students who tend to misbehave have more difficulty predicting consequences of poor decisions. Critical thinking is the key element in the definition of “smart”. This is where the “Quote” assists the child with his or her development.
When a child has the resources necessary to make great choices, his outcome is more likely to be successful. We, as educators, should want to give every child an opportunity to be successful in life.
Our mission is to create high expectations for success through character education and appropriate instruction that allows for individual differences and behavior.
Our vision is to allow for every students’ self-esteem to be fostered by positive relationships with peers and staff. We strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members actively involved in our students.
Our Core Values:
Respect, Integrity, Excellence in Everything we do.
